| Health experts, low-fat queen Annette Sym and fitness trainer Jen Forster, combined forces to hold two events for the National Breast Cancer Foundation (Australia). With the goal of raising $10,000 to help to find a cure for breast cancer, and with the help of others who volunteered their time, gifts and resources, and to hundreds of fantastic people who attended the events, they have exceeded their goal for the NBCF! The Symply Food, Symply Fit, Symply Pink night included fitness talks and routines, nutritional advice and cooking demos, food samples, goodies bags, raffles, auctions and special prizes. It was a fun and memorable night and all for a very good cause. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________ We are absolutely delighted to announce that the fundraising goal set out in December 2009 has officially been reached! Due to all the amazing people who volunteered their time and resources we have raised over $10,000 for the National Breast Cancer Foundation. As you may know our first event, held in February 2010, was the Train Like a Girl Breast Cancer Challenge and then on the 22 June 2010 the Symply Food, Symply Fit, Symply Pink evening was held at the Events Centre and attended by 200 people! The two events combined have raised a total of: $10, 510.50 !!! Without the spirit and generosity of our community, this goal would never have been achieved. Thank you!
